Belarus Mission Day 04
Belarus Mission
Day 4
By Peter Ruck
On Monday morning, Yauheni and Artyom the children’s pastor, took me to visit an orphanage that Yauheni and Yulia manage.
We were shown around the buildings which were being renovated for the new intake in September. It has struck me on hearing some Pastors and Evangelists that they put themselves first and misuse God’s gifts. In contrast you meet a man like Yauheni who lives by faith; this has been a valuable lesson for me.
That evening, we were sitting in Yauheni’s flat when there was a knock at the door. Austrian Airlines had delivered my case, one hour before we were due to leave to meet the youth groups! I was so pleased that my material had arrived, enabling me to share about Peniel Church’s Ark and Jesus and Me (JAM) children’s groups. It was just in time. The youth ministry here is called “King’s Kids”. The two churches provided a very inspiring presentation with the young people reaching out to their own age-group with drama, music and singing. It was a blessing to see how these youngsters worked with their leaders and how they were encouraged to do so.
