Belarus Mission Day 12
Belarus Mission
Day 12
By Peter Ruck
I was packed and ready to go home. When Yauheni arrived to say we had an invitation to meet with the Bishop of Belarus at Grace Church, the largest in Belarus. I changed quickly and we were off. We met Senior Pastor Mikhail Kukarchuk, of the Light of Gospel Church, who had arranged for us to meet the Bishop Sergey Khomich. The Bishop presided over All the Evangelical and Pentecostal churches in the country. Yauheni, Yulia and family took me to the airport just in time, they kept saying they wanted me to stay. Thankful my flights were all on time, I received a great surprise when Susanne along with my grandchildren Danielle and Bobby were there to greet me.
During my time in Belarus, every church was focused on outreach and how they could help others, they looked outward. It was God’s time for me and I look forward continued work with my “Druk” (friend) and Belarus!
Hear what our Lord Jesus Christ said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like unto it: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:36-39 (NIV)
