Hi Kent.

I would like to commend the wonderful staff and students of the CFI College in Jos, for their courageous witness and steadfast faith during the recent riots.

Also, I want to comment on the significance of God’s attentive hand, to watch over and rest His protective power over the college through the dark time of trouble. I believe that the CFI College is possibly the single most vital and strategic ministry in the advancement of the Kingdom of God in Nigeria. (Not only for the numbers of ministers that have been raised up, but also for the astounding faith and boldness that they take with them!)

My prayer is that many strong, faithful supporters will rise up with you and Ruth and seize the opportunity now, to enable the College to send out messengers of the Cross of Christ into that broken nation.

My heart is with those who have suffered great loss. God seems to be leading my thoughts towards a new day of opportunity for the gospel. Only He can speak eternal words of “let there be” over the void and the darkness. His Word is always victorious over the chaos. The chaos of Nigeria shall be broken by the gospel of the LORD Jesus Christ. Praise God for CFI. Praise God for the thousands of ministers that You and Ruth have raised up through the years.

Somehow, God has lifted your team and your students ABOVE all the trouble. I believe that He has eternal purpose for your students and they shall not only be ministers FOR the LORD, and not only ministers WITH the LORD: They shall minister FROM the LORD. I expect that a new season is upon CFI. The LORD will make his presence so powerful amongst the staff and students, that they will begin to minister from the throne. He will whisper and they will shout.

Be courageous to gather in the financial resource that is needed. I want to stand in prayer and faith with you, that our God will abundantly provide ALL that is needed. May He take the College out to that new land on eagles wings. May He provide buildings and water and food and shelter and classrooms for hundreds and hundreds of students.

I’m in awe of what the Lord has done through you, Kent. I also commend you for the way you have directed your team with wisdom through this extreme situation.

His hand stay there, over your life.
